Improper Knee Replacement – Medical Malpractice Lawyer Explains
A woman had a knee replacement in a major New York hospital. The doctor did a partial knee replacement and instead of taking an x-ray during the course of the surgery to see whether or not the hardware was correctly placed, waited until after the patient had been in the recovery room when he took an x-ray for the first time. Despite the fact there was a question as to whether it was correctly positioned, the doctor decided not to do anything about it and sent the patient for physical therapy. Over the next few weeks the patient continued to complain of pain and, literally, over the next couple of months the pain continued unabated.
